What makes the programme unique is the innovative Simulation centre, offering real-world practice opportunities. This modern centre is equipped with advanced technologies, enabling students to examine various clinical situations and thus develop their practical skills with no risk to patients. The simulated situations are developed to imitate real-life obstetrics practice and not only help to develop skills, but also emotional resilience and the ability to take action in stressful situations.

The Obstetrics study programme is compiled according to international and national legislation, obstetrics standards, directives, and documents to prepare the graduates for most challenging situations they could encounter while working in the healthcare setting. This programme highlights not only the technological progress, but also human aspects, developing student abilities of efficient communication with patients and other healthcare team members.

Career

You will work as midwives capable of making independent decisions and collaborating within a healthcare team. You will organize and provide health care, prevention, counseling, and support for girls and women at all stages of life, as well as ensure continuous health care for pregnant women, mothers in labor, postpartum women, their newborns, and infants across various levels of healthcare services.

Goal of the program

To train obstetricians that can work individually and in a team of healthcare specialists, demonstrating their practical abilities of organising and performing healthcare, prevention, consulting, and assistance to girls/women in all periods of life, as well as continuous healthcare of perinatal women and their babies in various healthcare settings.
