Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution (KVK) presents a new visual identity, which is expected to further strengthen its position in the higher education market.

From now on, KVK will be marked by a new modern graphic symbol – a contemporary interpretation of the higher education institution’s coat of arms, reflecting KVK’s fundamental values: many years of experience, practical skills, academic freedom and openness to innovation, and flexibility in adapting to the pace of scientific development and changes in the labor market.

The new KVK logo incorporates several essential elements that reveal and present KVK – wave, a straight line, and a flying bird or an open science book.

🌊 Wave – a unique seaside region, a dynamic and non-boring study process.
➖ Line – a straight path towards personal career goals, integrating the contribution of KVK to empowering students to choose their own path.
🕊️ A soaring bird or an open science book – the relevance of knowledge and practical skills, giving freedom to adapt in the professional field and personal life.

“KVK is a dynamic and constantly improving academic community. The change of visual identity was naturally dictated by the changes taking place at KVK. The updated image shows our aspiration to be open to changes, scientific progress, creative, but at the same time faithful to deep traditions and our roots,” says KVK Director Dr. Remigijus Kinderis.
In recent years, KVK has made significant investments in innovative laboratory equipment, developed applied scientific activities, significantly updated the study programme package, and launched a project aimed at concentrating activities in one city location in new premises over the next few years.

KVK currently offers 24 professional bachelor’s degree programmes and 2 fifth-level study programmes in seven study field groups (Engineering Sciences, Informatics Sciences, Technological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Educational Sciences, Business and Public Management).

In the Western Lithuania region, KVK holds the leading position in the higher education market. According to the data of the Education Management Information System, in 2024, KVK owned 46 percent of the market, comparing the number of students enrolled in first-cycle studies in higher education institutions in the Western Lithuania region in the reporting year.

Currently, about 2,500 students are pursuing higher education at KVK.
