Incoming students

If you wish to apply for Erasmus+ studies, you should:

1. Ask your home university if they have bilateral agreement with KVK or check it HERE.
2. Fill in online application form.
3. Ask your home coordinator to send us (to m.teresiute@kvk.lt) nomination for your Erasmus+ mobility.
4. Send us your English language level confirmation.
5. Choose the subjects from our list. Please note that for 1 semester you can have maximum 30 ECTS.
6. Fill in online learning agreement (OLA).
7. Arrive to Klaipeda!

Confirmation and acceptance

Please note that acceptance letters and confirmation of arrivals are issued in the form of email. No hard copies will be issued.

We accept only OLA. Please make sure you fill in OLA correctly – period, responsible persons, name of subjects, semesters and etc.

Responsible person is Monika Teresiūtė, Specialist at International Relations Department, m.teresiute@kvk.lt. Contact person is the Head of the Study department you are coming to. You can find their names and contacts next to the subjects list.

Please note that there are no component codes for subjects. In OLA write number as per subject list.

Students coming from partner countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Egypt, Jordan, Albania) need to submit regular learning agreements.

If you wish to apply for Erasmus+ traineeship, you should:

1. Fill in online application form.
2. Send us your motivation letter, English language level confirmation to m.teresiute@kvk.lt

NOTE – you can apply for traineeship not later then half a year until traineeship start date. Traineeship placements are offered by availability. Traineeships are done at KVK administrative or academic departments and/or partner companies, associations,  hospitals and etc.

KVK organizes Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP), to which we invite partners and students to join. More information – HERE.

We can offer accommodation for incoming students (only for study mobilities) in KVK dormitory located Debreceno g. 25, Klaipeda. Month cost is 140 EUR. If you want to live in dormitory, mark its option in application form and we will inform about possibilities.

Information on dormitory reservation is done after the deadline for applications pass.

IMPORTANT – For the upcoming 1-2 years, students dormitory will have low availability to accommodate new exchange and international students so we cannot guarantee accommodation.

If you are coming from not European Union country please check if you are required to have a visa for arrival to Lithuania – http://keliauk.urm.lt/en/.

KVK issue mediation letters for all students if they need to apply for visa but only if learning agreements are signed. It is applicant responsibility to verify all the consular requirements before traveling to Lithuania and making appointments for visa / TRP visa with Embassy/visa center.

If you will need visa, please fill in this FORM and we will provide mediation letter for visa application.

Note – mediation letter includes information regarding accommodation in dormitory for those students who got their request for accommodation approved.

Important:

• Your visa appointment must be scheduled no later than one month before your planned arrival, as obtaining a visa decision can take 15 – 45 working days.
• Ladies who wear the hijab are kindly requested to obtain confirmation from the Mufti verifying that you are Muslim and permitted to have your photograph taken while wearing the hijab.

If you are coming from EU/EEA country, you do not need a visa or residence permit to enter Lithuania. You may stay freely in Lithuania for up to 3 months with a valid passport or national ID card.

• The application should be submitted within your first 3 months in Lithuania.
• The application is completed via the MIGRIS system, followed by an in-person visit to the Migration Office.
• After receiving the certificate, you must also declare your place of residence at the local municipality.

The inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities at KVK is carried out in various ways:

constant publicity of exchange opportunities and additional benefits is carried out; students and staff are provided with free psychological consultations; the Studies and Careers Department and the International Relations Department provide comprehensive assistance throughout the exchange period (in academic, social, cultural aspects); the infrastructure of the KVK is adapted to receive mobility participants with disabilities or health problems; regular surveys of participants are conducted, feedback is collected in order to understand their experience and identify areas for improvement; the application forms of incoming and outgoing participants are asked about belonging to the group of participants with fewer opportunities.
