KVK issue mediation letters for all students if they need to apply for visa but only if learning agreements are signed. It is applicant responsibility to verify all the consular requirements before traveling to Lithuania and making appointments for visa / TRP visa with Embassy/visa center.

Note – mediation letter includes information regarding accommodation in dormitory for those students who got their request for accommodation approved.
Important:
- Your visa appointment must be scheduled no later than one month before your planned arrival, as obtaining a visa decision can take 15 – 45 working days.
- Ladies who wear the hijab are kindly requested to obtain confirmation from the Mufti verifying that you are Muslim and permitted to have your photograph taken while wearing the hijab.
If you are coming from EU/EEA country, you do not need a visa or residence permit to enter Lithuania. You may stay freely in Lithuania for up to 3 months with a valid passport or national ID card.
However, since your Erasmus studies will last longer than 3 months, Lithuanian law requires that you apply for a Certificate of the Right of Temporary Residence.

The application should be submitted within your first 3 months in Lithuania.

The application is completed via the MIGRIS system, followed by an in-person visit to the Migration Office.

After receiving the certificate, you must also declare your place of residence at the local municipality.
This procedure confirms your legal right to live in Lithuania for the duration of your studies.
