By bus

By train

Klaipėda is joined on train line with Vilnius (Klaipėda-Kretinga-Plungė-Telšiai-Šiauliai-Radviliškis-Kėdainiai-Jonava-Kaišiadorys-Vilnius) and Šilutė (Klaipėda-Dituva-Priekulė-Šilutė). By ferry

From Klaipėda there are 3 international ferry connection links: Klaipėda – Kiel (Germany), Klaipėda – Karlshamn (Sweden) organized by ferry company “DFDS Seaways”. And Klaipėda – Trelleborg (Sweden). Organized by ferry company “TT-Line”.

You can arrive to the city from the International Ferry Terminal by bus No. 1A, minibus No. 8A. (Check the details for ferry routes, prices on www.lisco.lt).

By plane

This is the fastest way. There is an international airport in Palanga (about 25 km away from Klaipeda). You can arrive to Palanga (www.palanga-airport.lt) directly from Oslo, Copenhagen, Riga and Moscow or by connecting flights to Palanga from many of European airports. Presumably you’d arrive from international Kaunas airport (about 200 km away from Klaipeda) or international Vilnius airport (about 300 km away from Klaipeda). The way to reach Klaipeda is by taking a direct bus route from the airports (https://www.kaunas-airport.lt; www.vilnius-airport.lt).

By car
