KVK is the only in Western Lithuania region that implements collegiate studies in Construction Engineering. The graduates of this study programme work in various construction business companies, thus contributing to the creation of the urbanized environment of the Klaipeda region. Students are provided with conditions to do internships in certified companies – leaders in their field, performing construction works of various objects. Also many students benefit from Erasmus+ programme – use possibilities of study and traineeship mobilities in EU and outside it.

One of the newest collaboration KVK established in Construction Engineering field is with Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan (ZUJ), located in Amman, the capital and largest city of Jordan. During the start of partnership we had a pleasure to host a student Basil from ZUJ, who after finishing his study semester, decided to extend his stay with traineeship at our partner company in Klaipeda.

„Erasmus+ indeed is going to benefit my life. I’ve made friends from all around the world, people who have different perspectives of life, we both made an impacts on each other’s, and it’s going to be a good memories. And also which is most important I can use that on my CV after graduation, it’s going to be very useful“, says Basil.

Dainora Jankauskienė, Head of Environment and Civil Engineering department, together with two lecturers Lina Kuklienė and Indrius Kuklys used a chance to visit ZUJ on the second week of March 2022. During their visit, they met with President of ZUJ, representatives and lecturers of The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, discussed with them the possibilities of further cooperation in the fields of projects and applied research, and also gave lectures to students at ZUJ.

This semester KVK will be hosting two teachers from ZUJ who will be giving lectures to students.
